ESTIMATION AND VALUATION

ESTIMATION AND VALUATION

Estimation is the process of forecasting the costs of building a structure. The estimating process may span several phases of a project, mirroring concept, schematic design, design development, and final construction documents. A design or development estimation is an important thing in the stage of making an agreement with the client, and it is important for both the client and the company. For the client, it gives an understanding of the budget and the approximate expenditure. Construction cost estimating is a foundational principle in forecasting the cost of construction of a structure. Project owners also use construction cost estimation to determine a project's feasibility, scope, and the necessary budget allocations. Preliminary or approximate estimate in architecture is the calculation of the approximate cost of the project done in the starting stages of the design. With this calculation, clients can know the rough budget of the project.

Valuation of building or property is the method of calculating the present marketable cost of a building. Valuation of a building depends on the sort of building, its structure, durability, location, size, shape, the width of roads, frontage, types and quality of building materials used and the cost of these materials. The aim of Property Valuation for buyers is to provide information regarding the prevailing prices of the property and market trends. A detailed house valuation informs the buyers about the features, cost, and advantages of the property that he/she is willing to buy.
